Pairing: Jin + Maru
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The ghost stories traumatized Maru.
Koki thought it would be funny to sneak up behind Maru during the impromptu scary-story portion of the evening and walk his fingers up his bare back. When he screamed, Ueda jumped, and elbowed Junno in the chest who then fell on Kame in a squealing tangle of limbs. All in all it was a less then spectacular show of masculinity.
Jin and Koki thought it was hilarious. Maru thought Koki was an ass.
That night, in the darkness of his room, with the monotonous sound of rain pelting against the window he lay awake. Completely exhausted but unable to sleep with ghosts and spirits running rampant in his mind, tossing and turning in his bed –way more comfortable then the one at home. Was that scratching he heard against the window? Softly, almost completely covered by the sound of the rain and the suddenly loud beating of his heart. If it was Koki he was going to kill him (painfully too), there was probably a junior out there dying to take his place in kat-tun anyways. No, Koki was breathing soft and even to his left, completely unconscious after he had fallen into his bed. Sleep like the dead, the thought made him shudder.
Still.
Goosebumps erupted down his arms and back, his breath stuttering with sudden panic. If he couldn’t sleep or was about to be eaten by a ghost- well then he was bringing someone down with him. Jin or Kame? They had chased him when he fled and carried him back into the room, so it would be either one of them. Jin, because he had made fun of him for it, that and Maru really didn’t want to get Ueda cross accidentally- such things could lead to bodily harm which is always a pain to cover with make-up.
Creeping past Koki, he slipped out of their room and into the living room, it was pitch black here and he shivered again. What if something got him now? Would they ever find him again? Maybe the shadows would eat him right up, and all that would be left was a pile of bones on the carpet.
Who would replace him?
The door wasn’t locked –Junno must have gone to the bathroom, because Jin always locked the door (years of sneaking into hotel rooms and waking up people taught him better). The room was dark as well, and Maru wracked his brain trying to remember which bed was Jin’s. He picked the one furthest from the door and hoped he got lucky.
“Holy shit your hands are cold.” Jin gasped trashing, and pushing him away with a solid kick to his stomach; Maru stumbling on the pants discarded on the floor and fell with a muffled crash. Junno snorted, rustling but not waking.
“Ouch.”
“Serves you right.” He grumbled, hands groping for Maru in the darkness, bumping into his shoulder; large hands cupping around the sharp bone and using the grip to pull him forwards.
“You’re the one who told the story, now I can’t sleep.” He whined, crawling into the bed with Jin, taking malicious glee from the fact that Jin flinched away from his cold hands and feet. “So I woke you up.”
“Bitch.” Jin whined, curling his body around Maru’s squishing him close to his chest like a stuffed toy.
“Yeah yeah.” Maru wiggled in his grip trying to get comfortable. He was content in the knowledge that if anything came after them: It would eat Junno first.

I'd eat Junno first =D He's the only one with meat on him! Jin next, Maru can run flailing and squeaking.

Date: 2007-09-22 03:46 am (UTC)And lots.. I've totally wasted my life away, having a complete love affair with my laptop. I dislike writting drabbles, one-shots are the best for me, long chaptered fics are hard to keep characterization throughout.
Short chapter fics are dramatic and pretty good if I have a good idea of what's going to happen~!
