Summary: Sho is content with his life, he has it all- looks, money, and a beautiful boyfriend. That is until one day he meets Aiba- someone who is out of his world, and realizes that there is more out there. Now he has to choose between his lovely mistress and his new love, what seems like an easy choice soon gets more complicated.

Sho rose when his alarm clock started to scream at him, over the break he was able to devout all his spare time to learning the trade from his father. Now that classes had started he needed to make room for his homework and time to study.

Jun was lost in his sheets wrapping them around his thin body to ward of the chill of the morning. In Sho’s king size bed the sheets became an ocean and Jun was like a small beautifully crafted boat being swallow by the heaving waves. He would be awake soon- Jun never did sleep long.

He showered quickly and brushed his teeth, after shaving he wrapped the towel around his hips and walked back into his bedroom. Jun was sitting up in bed looking out the window, his hand was sitting limp in his lap, the silver bracelet hanging from his fragile wrist. The bed dipped as Sho leaned heavily on it, he pressed a kiss to Jun’s cheek and the younger man turned into it.

“Good morning.” Sho whispered against pink lips, he felt them curve into a lazy smile.

“You’re going to school?” Jun flopped back in the bed wiggling until he was comfortable- Sho went about dressing himself.

“Yeah, I’ll see you tonight? Would you like dinner?” Jun nodded wordlessly, he was looking out the window again. Trying to stay afloat in the bed sheets.

The one thing he had to say about his home was he always needed to leave extra early for the elevator trip back down to earth. People got on the elevator and off all the way down, each nodded politely at him, he smiled back. Depending on how many people needed to move around that day it could take him a very long time before his feet touched solid earth again.

All the way down and across the street to the parking garage to where he was parked, bag slung over his shoulder he looked like any other youth. The drive in was as usual stop and go, sipping his coffee he watched the people in cars around him, each with something different to do. A car was just a box with four glass windows and just as he could see them, they could see him.

It’s kind of funny to see what people do when they think that on one is watching. He’d seen someone change shirts while waiting in traffic before. Salary-men singing loudly to their radios, and Sho- calmly sipping his coffee.

Sho was tired and sore in odd places, Jun usually took him for quite the ride and last night was no different. He listened and took notes diligently as he could manage. Still concentrating could not take his mind off the way his lower back ached, or how scratchy his eyeballs felt. Like they were wrapped in a film of sandpaper, and it would feel so good if only he could close them for a moment.

But the noon break in his classes he sorely needed a second cup of coffee. Standing alone in the cafeteria he stared at the large sign that said boldly ‘closed’, and really what were the chances of that?

“Hey you there.” He looked up as someone called; he took a few steps closer and smiled widely. “You look like you could use some soda!” Sho blinked in surprise for a second and this man was digging in his bag; he pulled out a can of soda and offered it to Sho. “My name is Aiba.”

“Thank you.” Sho looked at the soda in his hands, it was warm but the other man was smiling so widely it must have hurt his cheeks, for it almost distorted his face. “My name is Sho.”

“Are you busy? Want to sit down? We can eat together.” Sho nodded and as the other man grabbed him by the material of his sleeve and led him deeper in to the cafeteria he felt a warm wave wash over him. It was like a feeling of walking into the door and into the waiting arms of our lover, your best friend, your mother and your child.

His name was Aiba Masaki, and he was a first year student, he had a younger sister and a mother and father. Back at home he had three dogs- which he missed dearly, he loved to cook and was in a biochemistry program. He loved to talk, asking many questions about Sho and barely waiting for him to answer them, and then he was off on a different topic.

“Well I have to go, you know lots to do!” Aiba smiled at him one last time. “Can I get your number?” Sho pulled a card out of his pocket, it was simply white card with his name and mobile number on it, he had more fancy ones, but little use for them here. “Thanks!” With that he left, bag slung casually over his left shoulder.

His smile was infectious and Sho felt it tugging at his lips through his afternoon classes. Even as it rounded dinnertime and he had to text Jun that dinner was off- he had a lot to do on campus that night.

That seriously was pointless, half a life wasted in lines. Sho tried to keep his spirits high even as he walked through the darkened paths; stomach tight with hunger. He planned on heading home to see if maybe just maybe Jun had waited for him. Or at the very least some homework and then a nice crisp bed.

The familiar form of someone slumped on a bench, Sho’s brow creased with worry. The colour of that jacket was the same as…

“Aiba?” She asked, it looked up and he was looking down into the wide eyes of the boy with the sunny smile. It didn’t seem so bright with only the weak light from the streetlamp shining down on the two of them. He looked so tired, the dark purple smudged under his eyes. “You look tired, do you want a lift home?”

He laughed nervously, grinning up at Sho from his bench.

“For the time being, this is home.”

“What do you mean?” Looking around all he saw was the small park and Aiba.

“I just got into town, and I haven’t found a place cheap enough for me to stay yet. I don’t have the money.” He was still grinning, “I just finished work, and I hope to be able to find somewhere by the end of the week.” He opened and closed his mouth once, this was unreal, he knew he lived well, but really- a bench?

“You’re just going to sleep here?” Aiba nodded,

“In the morning I’ll go to the gym, I can work out there and shower.” Sho nodded, he felt like he should do something, but there was nothing he really could do. “Good night, maybe I’ll see you later, we can have lunch again!”

Nodding dumbly he walked away, a small part of him rationalized that at least it was summer so Aiba wouldn’t be cold. All the way home he was in a bit of a stupor, lost in his thoughts about this strange kind of guy.

All the way in his ride back into the heavens looking at his reflection in the glass walls of the elevator. He reflected on him- Aiba. The boy who could not afford to sleep under a roof but still gave him a soda so freely- who smiled in such a carefree manner. In such a position would he himself be able to smile like that, to brighten someone’s day by simply sitting down to chat?

He divest himself of his clothing in the living room and trotting around in his house in nothing but his boxers and his socks he went to make himself a sandwich. There was no real reason but he felt so horribly guilty, it hurt deep in his core and left a bad taste on his tongue. Not even his food could erase the taste, and the feeling of being slapped in the face with everything he owned.

Jun was lying in his bed shining in the moonlight looking for all the world like he had never left. Sho brushed his teeth and washed his face, trying to avoid looking at himself in the mirror. Slipping in bed he pulled Jun’s body against his, burying his face in Jun’s fragrant black hair he tried to forget Aiba’s tired smile.

He woke the next morning alone; Jun had vanished like a vision in the night. Rolling out of bed he went about his daily morning routine on autopilot. Shower, brush, shave, dress, and time to go. Down form the sky, falling towards the earth where the normal people live and be.

He wondered about his car as he started it. How much in a month did he spend getting it cleaned for him, on gas, on maintaining the engine? Would that buy an apartment for a homeless person? How much was the bracelet he’d bought Jun? He never bothered to look. That now suddenly struck him as so odd.

He poured himself into his lectures and moulded himself around his reading. By lunch he felt jittery almost like there was bugs crawling on the inside. When he saw Aiba he almost expected the boy to come with some Jesus figure light and some divine wisdom to enlighten him. Instead he got a slightly annoying,

“Good morning!!” Sho smiled at him and Aiba plopped into the seat across from him. “I’m so tired.” Sho smiled again, trying not to look strained.

The break past before he knew what was going on, Aiba was waving at him and leaving him sitting there alone, none more enlightened then before. He’d expected to gain some sort of insight into the other man’s life, into the effect Aiba’s actions had on his thoughts. Instead Aiba had spent the entire hour telling him about ostrich breeding.

He knew little more about Aiba, but he did know, you can make 14 pairs of shoes from a single ostrich hide. He hadn’t even known you could make shoes from an ostrich.

The rain pored down, down down down, spray bouncing up and causing small eddies of swirling mist on the ground. He didn’t bring his umbrella and he didn’t feel like getting soaked on the way to his car, but at this point it seem unavoidable. So standing under the protective arm of the doorway he looked out on the small park he needed to walk through on the way to his parking garage. He could make it about a forth of the way before his hair started to stick to him with the moisture, halfway before he could feel the rain on his skin- seeping through his clothing.

“It’s really raining.” He looked to his left and there was Aiba, standing there and looking out over the same park. Sho nodded dumbly.

“It doesn’t look like it’ll stop soon…” Indeed, the sky was black with swollen clouds, ripped apart occasionally by jagged strips of lightening. “Where are you going to sleep now?”

“I was wondering the same thing.” There was a thinly veiled bit of emotion there and Sho had to look at the taller man. He was staring blankly out at the rain that fell so hard it almost obscured the world beyond. Suddenly he turned to Sho with a forced smile. “I’m sure there is somewhere that I can find.”

“No, you’re coming with me.” Something was blooming in his chest, he wasn’t sure what but he knew that there was no way he was leaving Aiba here in the rain. “We’ll go to a hotel, we can stay there for the night.”

Aiba looked shocked for a moment, then thoughtful, finally he grinned.

“A love hotel?”

Sho brought them to a nice hotel, nothing overly plush- so he figured. Aiba was looking around staring wide-eyed at everyone; he hid his giggle behind a hand.

“Sho, you’re crazy!” he cried softly and Sho was already at the desk handing over his credit card. The elevator chimed and Sho stepped in, it was so normal for him to reach out and press the button for floor twenty-one. “That’s really high up.” Aiba commented absently, Sho just smiled- he’d never thought about it before.

He unlocked the door with the card key and Aiba rushed into the room, heading straight to the window. It was slicked with rainwater blurring the lights below; he pressed his hands against the cold glass.

“We really are high up.” He commented, Sho nodded.

“You’re all wet, you should take a shower.”

“You’re wet too, I have a change of clothing, you take the shower.” Aiba argued, Sho simply shrugged and decided that he was okay with that.

The water was warm and clean not like the semi-acidic bath that fell outside. The heat almost burned his chilled toes but he only wiggled them and quickly stepped out again. The mirror was fogged and he swiped his broad hand across it to clear away the condensation, looking at his reflection he first straightened his hair out.

“What are you doing?” He asked softly to his reflection, it didn’t answer but he thought he could hear a voice.

“I don’t really know yet.”

The white towel wrapped around his waist and his clothing hanging in the bathroom he stepped back out into the room. There were two beds; Aiba was sitting on one, his long golden hair still plastered to his head with rainwater. He looked up when Sho walked in and smiled.

“All clean now?”

“Yeah.” Sho sat on the bed and looked at the large window, he wasn’t really thinking- he was trying hard not to. He didn’t want to acknowledge the feelings he knew were just under the outer layer of his thoughts. All he really needed to do was peel them away like and onionskin and see what he really wanted to do.

“I’m really grateful that you did this for me.” Aiba said, he was toying with the hem of his large t-shirt but Sho wasn’t watching. “I don’t really have anything I can offer you in return.” Aiba sighed, Sho didn’t really respond, he would sound fake if he told Aiba he didn’t want anything in return. Really there wasn’t anything he wanted, but he would insult the other’s dignity if he said anything. “So, if you don’t mind…”

Sho looked down his naked chest as Aiba kneeled in front of him looking up through wet bangs.

“Aiba?”

“I’ll do this for you?” Aiba’s cold hands were toying with where the towel was folded in on its self keeping his nakedness from the other man in the room.

“…Alright.” Aiba surprised him by suddenly smiling.

“Thank you.” He was tugging at Sho’s towel, unfolding it until Sho was naked before him. Pressing his cool lips along thighs, with his hands he carefully brought Sho’s organ to life.

Once he took it in his mouth Sho fell back against the bed with a small cry of pleasure. Aiba’s tongue was agile and teasing, the suction of his cheeks heavenly. It didn’t take long before he could feel the fire starting to build up and the steam ready to release. Tugging on the other’s hair he groaned out a warning that was ignored by the younger man.

He came with a strangled cry hips arching sharply off the bed, Aiba took it all in stride. When he was spent he flopped back against the bed, looking through slightly blurred eyes at the younger man. Aiba stood, wiping his mouth with the back of one tanned hand. He was still damp with rain water and caught between looking like a half drown rat and the most beautiful thing Sho had ever seen.

He quickly pressed his other palm to his pants to adjust himself, the move was quick but Sho caught it. Aiba was retreating to the bathroom to get a drink of water when Sho caught him. Wrapping strong arms around the other’s torso he held the other boy for a moment. Letting go quickly when he remembered that this wasn’t Jun and he wasn’t allowed to do as he pleased.

“Let me help you.” He said softly, and he meant one thing, but he knew he would with so much more. Pressing his hands to the other’s narrow hips he spun the taller man so they were face to face. “I want to.”

Aiba didn’t say anything so he allowed himself to press his hand against the crotch of Aiba’s pants feeling the solid heat of the shape there. The other man bit his lip and looked at Sho through lidded eyes.

“Please do.” He moaned softly when Sho began to massage. Hooking his fingers in Aiba’s belt loops he tugged the other back to the bed. Dropping Aiba’s pants with practiced ease, he pulled them down on the bed together. The other man’s smooth back felt nice against his own chest, the other’s ass pressed against him caused that feeling to bloom in his chest again. The solid weight of his cock in Sho’s hand made him smile against the other’s shoulder. He flicked his wrist and Aiba jumped in his arms making a small strangled noise.

Aiba held on tight to his thighs, short nails digging red half moons into his flesh as Sho brought him closer and closer with quick sure strokes. Aiba bit his lip; hips shifting in a constant beat matching Sho’s hand, he could tell the other boy was close.

“Ah!” The almost silent noise alerted him moments before he felt the other tense up, then there was a searing warmth dribbling down over his hand, he continued to pump until Aiba fell limp against him.

“Was that okay?” Sho asked, his voice low in the silence of the room.

“I’d say so.” Aiba giggled, the sound breathy.

“Good.”

That night he stayed awake, because –he told himself- that the rain kept him awake. There was a small part of him that told him ‘you know you’re cheating on Jun’, but he rationalized that what he had going with Jun wasn’t a real relationship so there was no such thing as real cheating. Another part of him was trying to analyse what had just happened.

Strictly on a business level he had exchanged goods for services- he’d given Aiba a place to stay and Aiba had given him pleasure. Still, watching Aiba’s naked form sprawled ungracefully on the bed he couldn’t help the nagging suspicion that it was more then business.

More then what he already knew, he knew perfection, Jun’s flawless creamy skin and the way they moved, so practiced they had it down to an art. He knew how to calm Jun’s moods and how to coax what he wanted out of the other boy. He didn’t know that Aiba had a large birthmark that covered most of his shoulder. He didn’t know that the other boy would do that for him. He didn’t know the meaning of a spontaneous burst of giggles just because that’s what you do when you’re happy. He didn’t know so much Aiba could teach him.

It was all so very confusing, and he didn’t know where he was getting at. He barely knew where he came from and he had no clue where he was going. Or even if he wanted to go at all, I mean there was nothing wrong with staying right where he was- was there? Aiba was warm and solid, he smelled faintly like the shampoo provided by the hotel and it didn’t bother Sho at all.
